Gmail connection (optional feature)
If you choose Connect Gmail in your account, you may optionally link your Google Gmail account to PrimePathway using Google's secure sign-in. When you connect Gmail, we request permission to read your Gmail (read-only) and to send email from your Gmail address when you use send features in the app, as described on the consent screen and in the sections below. This applies only if and when we offer this feature to your account type.
What we access and why
Read (read-only): We access messages and related metadata to show job-related conversations in the product (for example next to jobs and interviews), to help you see replies from recruiters or employers, and to provide thread context for applications you are tracking through PrimePathway.
Send: We use send access only so you can send email from your own Gmail address when you explicitly choose to send a message from PrimePathway (including after reviewing any optional AI-generated draft). We do not send email on your behalf without your action in the app.
How access works
Access is provided through Google's OAuth flow. You can disconnect Gmail from PrimePathway at any time using the controls we provide. When you disconnect, we stop using your Gmail connection for these features and delete stored credentials associated with that connection as described below.
What we store
To maintain the connection until you disconnect, we may store OAuth tokens (such as a refresh token) securely on our servers. We do not display or expose these tokens in the application interface. We limit internal access to authorized systems and personnel who need it to operate the service.
AI-assisted drafting (if offered)
If you use optional AI-assisted email drafting, the service may send limited context you provide in the app (such as recipient, company, role, and instructions for the message) to our AI provider to generate a draft. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the draft before sending. We design this feature to minimize unnecessary content in those requests.
Retention and your choices
We retain Gmail connection data only as long as needed to provide the feature or as required by law. You may disconnect Gmail at any time; after disconnection, we delete associated OAuth credentials from our systems (subject to reasonable backup and legal retention periods). You may also contact us to exercise privacy rights described elsewhere in this policy (for example access or deletion requests), including in relation to data connected to your account.
Limited use (Gmail)
We use Gmail data only to provide and improve user-facing features of PrimePathway as described here. We do not sell your Gmail data, use it for third-party advertising profiling, or use it in ways that violate Google's API Services User Data Policy.
Third parties
Gmail data is processed in accordance with this policy and with Google's terms and policies when you use Google OAuth and the Gmail API.
